Painting With Light Had some fun at the beach the other night playing with long exposures and painting with light with photographers Geoff Howe (Vancouver Event Photographer)  and Zia Kalyan (Victoria Music, Video, Photography). We had originally intended to do a funky twilight shoot with dramatic lighting but it was pretty dark by the time we got to the beach so we just decided to play instead. Our timing was a little off as we kept having to retreat our position as the tide was coming in fast (a couple gear bags had their surprise immersion debut). Definitely something we will do again - maybe even with a plan.

Frozen Moments I shot quite a bit of hockey this past season - not really my main thing, but had a lot of fun. I just wrapped my last hockey shoot at the Spencer Hockey Academy tournament a few days ago. Good times - aside from freezing… Until next year :)

Where the River Meets the Ocean It was a dreary rainy day so the shoot devolved to location scouting (still fun) and I captured this dramatic looking scene of the Nanaimo River Estuary - an essential hub of the Snuneymuxw territory on Vancouver Island. I’ll be back to this area to apply the NatGeo effect (shooting everything at sunrise and sunset). Vancouver Island Photography
